About this Death Cafe
A Death Café is a group-directed conversation about the topic of death with no agenda, objectives, or themes. Death Cafés are free and open to, and respectful of, people of all communities and belief systems.
Please plan to arrive at least 5 min. before the start time. At start time, people will be let in from the waiting room—after a brief introduction and guidelines review, the event will get started. Small groups of three to five people will be randomly broken into separate virtual groups for private discussions, with volunteer facilitators on hand to help keep the conversations flowing, if needed. We come back together at the very end to say goodbye as group. Note: These are group-led conversations rather than grief support or counseling sessions.
