In serving those who are dying as a hospice nurse, I found that once the conversation begins about dying and death, ease, acceptance, and peace enter. This life is precious and finite; the Death Cafe offers a safe, sensitive, and informative opportunity to explore death on our own terms, thus creating peaceful awareness to this life and our dying.
