About this Death Cafe
Both Christine & Susan beleive that people are interested in speaking about death, dying, loss and grief given the opportunity, and a safe/supportive environment. We aim to create those spaces for our Death Cafes.
About Susan Barber & Christine Kovach
Both Susan & Christine have worked in hospice for the last 20+ years. Christine is an LCSW, with a prviate practice that focuses primiarlily on issues of loss, grief, and end of life, She is also a bereavement coordinator for a local, not for profit hospice program.
Susan has worked in end of life care since San Francisco's AIDS epidemic landed her square in a pandemic, she has been a hospice volunteer coordinator for 20+ years, most recently creating and curating a nationally recognized Hospice Community Education program for the last 6 years.
