About this Death Cafe

We are now in our seventh season of hosting Death Cafes on Salt Spring Island.

We are now online!

 

Thank you to ArtSpring for offering the space and helping with the administration of the Cafes for the past 7 years. Thanks also to our wonderful Salt Spring Hospice facilitators. And thank you to Made in BC-Dance on Tour as original sponsor for this community event.

 

Death affects us all - fear of death and not talking about it can be immobilizing.

We need to talk about it to live our lives fully in the moment and to move forward.

All are welcome who are interested in life and death.

Jenna Dashney is an End of Life Doula, private chef & also she creates custom edible props for film on the west coast of Canada.

 

 

Salt Spring Hospice, a registered non-profit charitable society operating on the island since 1984, is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing comfort, care and support to people affected by life threatening illness.
