About this Death Cafe

Our goal is to provide a safe virtual space for discussion around our thoughts, feelings & wishes when it comes to dealing with life-limiting illness and death.

About Anne Reid & Sue Phillips

Anne is a retired RN and  spent the majority of her career working in Mental Health. Prior to retirementshe felt something was missing in her career and she felt drawn to working with the dying. Having had several  family members die and being part of that experience showed her the beauty and blessing of being part of that journey.

Anne took courses through the Institute of Traditional Medicine and Douglas College and is now getting ready to start her practice.

Sue is a practicing End of Life Doula in the Hamilton-Wentworth area. Sue re-invented herself after a 30 year career in administrative assitance discovering she wanted to be of service in the field of end of life. Sue likes to remind people that it is never too late to re-invent yoursel and It is never too early to talk about death.
