About this Death Cafe

It really is time to talk - lets break down those taboos together and help make it a little easier to have those tricky conversations that really do make all the difference when the time comes.

Covid-19 rules as at 1 March allow for group gatherings of up to 50 people.  I will be taking contact details of all attendees in order to comply with Covid-19 regulations.

About Patsy Bingham

As an End of Life Doula, my desire is to help people to have a “good death”.  That means we need to know what people want which requires a conversation.  Following the recent death of my father, my mother and siblings were so grateful to have had a conversation with him several years earlier.  At 90 years of age and in poor health for the last 10 years of his life, his death was expected, but as we knew what he wanted, we were able to deliver a beautiful experience for him at home with his family.  In talking to friends after this celebration of his life, I realised that this type of experience was not as common as it should be, and I wanted to be part of making that happen.
