About this Death Cafe

Death is fascinating and intriguing. One of the few areas where no ones oppinion matters more than someone elses, and where the personal performance doesnt matter. I like the thought of that.. - Ia

It is not always easy to talk about death with friends or family. Not everyone feels comfortable and it can be hard to know where to begin. To be able to have a venue where we can meet on equal terms with the possibility to speak openly and honestly about death and dying. The venue is offered by the church, but anyone is welcome, regardless of religion, faith or outlook on life.

About ia Hamnered och Gunnel Claesson

Ia Hamnered is a deacon within the Church of Sweden, with a background as a social worker and a counsellor within the hospital chaplaincy. 

Gunnel Claesson is a deacon within the Church of Sweden, with a background as a teacher and working with diversity and interreligous dialogue.
