About this Death Cafe

This is a virtual event, please email for a Zoom link.

There will be no agenda just a chance to talk or listen to a conversation about death and dying in a respectful and supportive environment. This event is not suitable for the newly bereaved.

We often laugh and cry in the same conversation and always feel engaged and stimulated by the conversation.

Remember to have your drink and delicious cake ready!

Biographies written by Jools Barsky

Sue Barsky Reid, co-founder of the Death Cafe movement, is the mother of Death Cafe founder Jon Underwood, and hosted the world's first Death Cafe in Jon's basement in Hackney. As well as facilitating the first Death Cafe, Sue co-wrote the Death Cafe guidelines with Jon and was hugely instrumental in shaping the Death Cafe that we know and love today.

Diane Carbery, also an experienced Death Cafe host, co-facilitated a Death Cafe with Jon Underwood in Liverpool.
