About this Death Cafe
I hold death cafes with empathy and compassion but also lightness. The conversation may be deep and there might occassionally be tears, but you can also expect laughter. Every part of you is welcome here.
The kettle will be on from 2.50. Try to arrive on time so as not to disrupt the flow of conversation. Please bring a donation for the Kingston Environment Centre and come prepared to wear a mask so others feel safe. Thanks so much.
About Charlotte Haigh
I'm a soul midwife (sometimes known as a death doula), trained in funeral celebrancy and sacred ceremonial care of the body. I'm also a goddess-priestess, writer and workshop facilitator. I've been running death cafes in the local area since March 2018 (moving online during lockdown). I believe talking about death and dying helps us live richer lives - and may even help us face the climate and ecological emergency. After all, if we can't accept our own mortality, how can we get to grips with the state of the planet?
