This Death Cafe is a casual, friendly place to come talk about death and dying. It's a natural part of life and will happen whether you're ready or not! Let's chat about our experiences, fears, hopes & plans. Our culture has made this a taboo subject for many so let's  talk about it, it won't kill you.

Note - this is NOT  a bereavement or grief support group or counseling session.

I recently moved to the peninsula to be closer to family and live a more rural life than Seattle can offer.  Background working for Microsoft and Planned Parenthood. Third generation Washingtonian who grew up in Kennewick. I've been interested in this subject since I can remember, curious about the culture of fear around death. So I am excited by this forum, started in England in 2011. By talking we can help to ease the fear and make the most of the time we have left. I also recently completed a  course to be an End of Life Doula.
