About this Death Cafe

Normally, whatever that means, death and dying are not in our thoughts but now the news is full it.

We’re hearing of numbers, ages, places and situations of the people currently dying. Illness and death; from mild illness and recovery to intensive care recovery and recuperation, or death; preexisting conditions and vulnerable groups.

People dying in isolation from their friends and families.

Funerals being held not as wished or planned but as dictated by health considerations.

We can’t avoid death and dying being more in our consciousness. What do we do with these thoughts? Where can we discuss these matters?

One possibility is the Virtual Death Cafe being planned by Leicester Death Cafe.

Non-judgemental, not religious, not advice giving, not a bereavement service, no commercial interests, no agenda.

If you’re interested in taking part in this virtual Death Cafe via Zoom, please email to show your interest, book a place or ask any questions.

This is a new venture for us so please be aware we’re feeling our way forward to a hopefully successful event.

If over subscribed we may need to limit numbers
