About this Death Cafe
Thankn you to Safety Harbor Art and Music center for hosting this event.
Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'.
A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.
Our Death Cafes are always offered:
- On a not for profit basis
- In an accessible, respectful and confidential space
- With no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action
- Alongside refreshing drinks and nourishing food – and cake!

About this Death Cafe
Laura works daily with people who have never once considered that they will die- even if they have serious diseases! Or family members who put the elderly on life support-really?!
Kevin was once a type A executive who couldn't tolerate a doctor's office. Now he spends hours comfortably talking to those whose death is imminent.
We just want to start a dialogue about what we all will experience, in the hope that it will be less scary for people.
About Kevin and Laura McCullough
Laura is an RN with over 30 years’ experience in ER and ICU- she had become very familiar with death and dying. In her personal life, Laura has lost both of her parents and her oldest son.
Kevin is a Reiki Master and Healing Touch Practioner who volunteers with Hospice and Bay Care . Kevin works with every age, infants to the elderly, who are transitioning.
