About this Death Cafe
Like the Death Cafe movement, we believe that “death belongs to everybody”. Join poets Mollie Coles Tonn and Rhobi Jacobs to gather with people of all ages and demographics, eat cake and talk about death in an open context with no agenda.
About Rhobi Jacobs & Mollie Coles Tonn
Mollie Coles Tonn is a poet and writer and co-creator of the SoCo Collective; a small organization committed to community conversations. She believes that death is a close friend of life, and that exploring this intimacy teaches us about relationships and our larger sense of connectedness.
Rhobi Jacobs is an RSW and birthworker currently working in the capacity of Community Coordinator for the Aurora Public Library. She's occupied with the perinatal period as an epistemic framework for grief and loss, and our human need for ritual and ceremony as we tend to the sistered transitions of birth and death.
