About this Death Cafe
We believe that facing our own death and talking openly about the losses in our lives and our grief frees us to live life more fully.
We welcome people of all faiths and no faith to this event.
Even though we are rabbis and are holding this event at our Temple the conversation will be open and we are not there to teach or preach but to listen and facilitte the opening of our hearts and minds.
About Rabbi Steven Altarescu and Rabbi Lauire Levy
Rabbis Altarescu and Levy were ordained by the Academy for Jewish Religion, a pluralistic seminary devoted to supported each person's unique spiritual development.
Rabbi Altarescu is a Board Certified Chaplain/Spiritual Care Specialist who has run spiritual care groups at Westchester Medical Center and Northern Westchester Hospital.
