About this Death Cafe

I am wanting to host this event to raise awareness about what Death Cafes are, especially amongst university students and academics. This is also a great learning opportunity for my practicum.

There will be a focus on this being an inclusive event where all cultures, ethnicities and belief systems are welcome to share their insights. The event will start with thanking guests for attending and reminding them it is a respectful and confidential environment.

I am a social work graduate student completing a practicum with Circle of Care in the area of hospice and bereavement support. After having attended a Death Cafe I am hoping to host one at my university and increase awareness.

Co-Organizers: Kennedy Martins and Olga Castro-De Barros

My co-organizers are social work undergraduate students also completing their practicum with Circle of Care.
