About this Death Cafe

Come along to our first House of Life Death Café, held as part of our flagship House of Life Exhibition in partnership with Brent Museum and Archives.

The aim of a Death Café is ‘To increase awareness of death with a view to helping people to make the most of their (finite) lives’.

This is a friendly and non-judgemental space led by a facilitator, for adults who want to talk openly about death.

It is a secular group, not based on religion, offering opportunity for discussion rather than a grief support or counselling session.

And there will be cake!

About House of Life and Gentle Dusk

The House of Life at Willesden Jewish Cemetery is a lottery funded project to open up London's pre-eminent Jewish Victorian Cemetery as a site of heritage for the public.

The café will be run in collaboration with Gentle Dusk (gentledusk.org.uk), a socially minded organisation focusing on preparation and support for the end of life.
