Fear of a near death experience

I'm scared of having a near death experience. I've been reading all about them and the changes they can bring people and that is so scary for me to think of. I'm afraid of loosing who I am here and now I've really come to like who I am and love my life and the thought of being a changed person after an NDE scares me greatly. I'm afraid that the things that bring me joy won't bring me joy after an NDE and my life will change entirely. I'm also afraid of the impact it would have on my family and loved ones. I'm also afraid of not knowing how to cope with an NDE after the fact.
