Phenonmenal Perspective
Posted by veragibson
Out in nature, there exist numerous opportunities for gaining wisdom. One particularly memorable experience occurred a month after my mother died. Strolling alongside a stream, I invited her to please continue sending me signs. A few steps later, looking across the forest, I focused on the most distant point and heard, "Just because you cannot see it, does not mean it does not exist." A phrase filled with double negatives, the message, however, was crystal clear. Based solely on what I could see, the forest ended at that furthest visible point; however, the whole of my being understood that this forest continued much further. I grasped the concept of "more". An entire world flourishes beyond what my eyes perceive. The spirit world, together with Mother Nature, had given me a reassuring perspective on death, bestowing awareness of the ongoing existence of my mother's essence. Just because I cannot see her, does not mean she does not exist. Phenomenal. First published Feb 23, 2012 in "Diary of an Intuitive"
