Why we tell stories

Death Cafe is about conversation, telling our stories, sharing stories. It is an important way of linking with other people but also a way we can make sense of our experiences. Death Cafe has a vital role in this process of authentic, personal story telling about death, told in an atmosphere of openness and non discrimination.

The story of Phil Kaye will blow you away, in a good way. He uses poetry, he is a poet, and he is a story teller. This is not a story about death as such, though it touches on it. It is about story telling. I loved what he did!

A deeply moving and thought provoking story.
