This Death Cafe started in the late Autumn last year. We have had 6 meetings and many aspects of death have been discussed.

We have had positive feed back about the structure being good and pleased with the initiative of bringing out the difficult subject of death into the open.   

A couple of people said that one session gave them what they wanted. Another feed back on hearing about it was that she didn't feel quite ready to attend but it felt good to know it was there.

I am aware that it has cerrtainly brought the subject of Death into the open and many discussions about it are held outside the Cafe. 

This last session on the 10th September we discussed the difficulty of financial responsibility for relations dying. The wish to die in sleep... the hassle that life becomes as the body gives up. 

Also again about Soul Midwives and Doulas to give spiritual end of life care.

It was the smallest group 7 people due in some way to regulars sending apologies.

I prefer the smaller more intimate group it gives me more chance to take part fully. The other coordinaters supported me with this, so for the next while it has been decided to have a different format.
