Arkansas' First Death Cafe

The very first Death Cafe in Arkansas was a great success! Twenty people gathered at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fayetteville on Wednesday, December 1 at 7:00 PM. We served cake, coffee and tea. Enthusiasm was very high and folks had a lot to share. We stayed together for the entire cafe, as this was our first meeting. The group decided to continue meeting monthly, but to break into smaller groups to facilitate deeper sharing. Three attendees agreed to sign up and host the upcoming cafes.

As I was browsing the web to find resources for my client, I was pleasantly surprised to see this advertisment! I am happy to see a cafe' in AK and so excited that the first meet up went well...Keep it going! Best of luck.

I used to attend the UU Fellowship in Fayetteville in the late 1980's. And I may be visiting Fayetteville during the last week of January 2015. Might there be a Death Cafe scheduled at that time?
I just posted the first Death Cafe for Bemidji, MN.
