About Kim LeGallais:
I have worked in daycare for over 15 years...my interests have been shifting to end of life care. I am a Jikiden Reiki practitioner and am aiming to begin volunteering with Ottawa Hospice Care very soon. ( awaiting training)
while I do not have experience in death and dying...I do have a passion for talking about it and for allowing people the space to talk about it!
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I am a regular woman with a deep interest in death and dying. After the death of my father over 2 years ago, I began to look at life a little bit differently. Attending Death Cafe deepened my interest and passion for getting people talking about the one thing we will ALL face..and yet never discuss.
Thoughts for sharing:
The crucible of making human beings is death. Every culture worth a damn knows that. It's not success. It's not growth. It's not happiness. It's death. That's the cradle of your love of life, the fact that it ends. - stephen jenkinson.
