Lilies Funeral Directors was founded by life long friends with many years experience providing support and care for bereaved families, we are devoted to delivering a respectful, sensitive, dignified and professional service at such an emotional time.

Based at 10 Chester Road, our premises have two private arrangement rooms and a chapel of rest. We have free parking available outside our door making it easy for you to come and chat to us at any time you need, or if you would prefer a member of our team to come to meet you in your home call the office and we will arrange a time to come visit. We serve the Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield and surrounding communities such as Kingstanding, Streetly, Aldridge, Great Barr, Erdington and New Oscott 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year so if you need us, you know you can rely on us to be there for you.

We pride ourselves on the service we deliver, the standards we uphold and the relationships we create with families and friends in the community. It is never an easy time when our services are needed, but when a family choose Lilies Funeral Directors we are truly honoured and you can rest assured that your loved one will be treated with love and care.

What brings you to Death Cafe?

We want to provide a place where people can openly talk about death without worrying if the person they are speaking to thinks it is a 'taboo' subject, times have moved on and we should all be able to talk about death as another normal life event.

There are many interesting areas that are linked to death, ones that many of us never come in contact with in the normal day to day so a death cafe is the perfect time for ordinary people to learn more about an area they are interested in.

What would you like your legacy to be?

Our legacy, we would like people to remember us as the funeral directors who made any wish possible no matter how weird and wonderful.

Thoughts for sharing:

We believe you should celebrate death as a celebration of life, if someone doesn't want to follow the traditions surrounding death then they should be allowed to. In a world where we see everyone as equal and the social norm is incorperating all walks of like then we should be able to provide services to fit without worrying about being judged.

Death is a garenteed life event which should be planned for, it should be thought of like a wedding or birthday. Saying that, weddings aren't guaranteed but funerals are!
