Death Cafe profile for Brian McMullen

Location: United Kingdom

About Brian McMullen:

I have had a life as a health professional and I'm moving on to new pastures.

Singing and dancing 5 rhythms are two of my favourite things in life.

What brings you to Death Cafe?

As well as a background in medicine, I worked for the Open University as a Tutor on a course on Death and Dying. This helped me see how death is connected to the losses I experience in life.

Thoughts for sharing:

A quote from one of my favourite poets, Mary Oliver from her poem "When Death Comes"

"When it's over, I want to say all my life I was a bride married to amazement. I was the bridegroom taking the world into my arms."
