About Granby Free Public Library

This Library presented two film showings of "Being Mortal" to engage the community in discussion of end-of-life issues explored by Dr Atul Gawande in his best-selling book of the same title. This Death Cafe is offered as another opportunity for conversations about death, dying, and end-of-life issues. Virginia Snopek, the organizer of these events, invlted Sandy Ward to facilitate the Death Cafe. Sandy is a volunteer with the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Western Mass, a nonprofit org that educates the public about rights and options for final arrangements.
