About this Death Cafe
A Death Cafe is an event where people drink tea, eat cake and discuss death. At a Death Cafe people drink tea, eat cake and discuss death. Our aim is to increase awareness of death to help people make the most of their (finite) lives
Our kind host The Kitchen Garden Cafe is a tranquil oasis in the heart of Kings Heath.
The cafe serves delicious home cooked food, Fair Traded teas and coffee, and homemade cakes and pastries. All with a nod to local and ethical sourcing.
About Carrie Weekes and Frances Glover, A Natural Undertaking Limited
Carrie and Fran are undertakers based in Birmingham. "We set up our business because we believe that choice is as important in Death and it is in Life. We believe that talking about death won't make it happen. But it might mean you get the death you want. We help families create beautiful and personal funerals that reflect the life of the person who has died. We won Green Funeral Director of the year at the good Funeral Awards on 2015, are Natural Death Centre recommended funeral directors and are Virgin Startup Ambassadors.
