About this Death Cafe

Death Café – Toronto Spousal Loss focuses on the specific community of widow/ers whose loss is 2 or more years ago.  Like all other death cafes, it is a discussion group with no specific agenda rather than a support group.  Members have the option of volunteering to facilitate on a rotating basis and we anticipate meeting once/month.  Taking place in the private room of a local café/restaurant, the evening will start with an optional half hour of socializing and eating, followed by a two-hour discussion.

About Justine Silver

Host Justine believes whole-heartedly in the concept of getting people together to discuss death and dying – with no agenda.  Her interest in the specific community of widow/ers stems from her own experience after the sudden loss of her husband and her desire to keep the conversation going several years later.

Facilitator Suza is a Nurse Practitioner who approaches the subject of death and dying with courage, an open heart and a buttload of gratitude!
