Janine and Jamie host Death Cafes to create space for conversations that raise death literacy in their community. They imagine an entire city of coffee-drinking-story-telling-people talking comfortably about life and death.

Janine Violini and Jamie Whittaker have hosted Death Café events in Calgary since September 2014. They began exploring many perspectives about death while studying thanatology.
