Auburn Death Cafe Write Up

There was plenty of food for thought - along with cake, cookies and iced-tea – at Death Café Auburn on Tuesday evening.  (Special thanks to Sally for the luscious, home-made sheet cakes!)  Among our group of about 14, we had several familiar voices and a few new ones added to the mix.  We appreciate the consistent number of repeat  attendees and hope that this indicates an increasing comfort level with the stimulating topics of conversation.  When you come back again, it says that you find these gatherings beneficial, which is GREAT!   We can all consider ourselves to be part of the movement to normalize death.  If you experience an uplifting shift from DC conversations and interactions, share that with others.

As announced on Tuesday evening, we will be changing venues beginning with the next café on Tuesday, July 8th.  I know everyone will agree that the beautiful AHmbiance space has served us well, but because of the nature of our group – with the tea & cake factor – it will be really nice to have the kitchen facilities that the new venue offers.  So – we will next meet at the community room at Palm Terrace Apartment complex – 1040 Red Hawk Lane, Bldg. 8.

Check out John Bowman’s column in Sunday’s (June 15) Auburn Journal.  There may be something there to interest you.

‘Til the 2nd Tuesday of next month ~
