“I love the brownies.” “I’m interested in learning about death.” These are the icebreakers at the November session of McGill’s Death Cafe. Though the event drew a varied crowd, commonalities developed between the full room of people intrigued by both creature comforts and talk of mortality...

Mit dem Tod bei Kaffee und Kuchen

Posted by Aileen on Oct. 30, 2017, 3:24 p.m.

The journalist Roswitha Fitzinger initially just wanted to observe, but ended up becoming an enthusiastic participant. Unlike other, very superficial articles in small local papers, this one goes into detail about the background of the Death Cafe model, crediting Jon Underwood appropriately, and vividly describes the atmosphere.

Many thanks to Roswitha Fitzinger for this article, and also to Norbert Trawöger from Kepler Salon for his support for the Linz Death Cafe - Mit dem Tod bei Kaffee und Kuchen.
