About this Death Cafe
Both of us have been involved with hospice for many years, and know the importance of facing the reality of our own deaths. This is a highly sensitive and personal subject and we want to provide a comfortable forum so people can start discussions with their families, friends and others who might be involved with their care when they become terminally illor encounter a terminal event.
About Jan Kirk and Rondi Boyer
Jan has been involved in hospice for many years both as an RN and administrator of a Hospice House, and as a volunteer at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover. Rondi is the Volunteer Coordinator at the Hyder House, and although this event is in no formal way connected to Hyder, they both are comfortable speaking to people about death and the things surrounding it. They very much looks forward to meeting people in the community (18 and above) who would like to discuss the needs and desires of all of us, who will reach this point sooner or later.
