About this Death Cafe

I'm hosting my third Death Cafe because I want to offer my local community the chance to discuss death more openly, and make it more acceptable to think about and talk about.  Death should not be a taboo subject, as it happens to 1 in 1!  It is a safe space for any subject surrounding death and dying, funeral choices and end of life care.  Please note that it is not a Bereavement Support Group or a place to push religion.  All welcome, please just be respectful and open-minded.  

About Rachel Bass

Hi, I am a Celebrant, Ceremonialist and Priestess (usually not all at the same time!)  During my work leading Funerals and Memorial Services, I know that often, loved-ones have no idea as to the wishes of their person, and sometimes don't know all the options that are available to them for creating a Goodbye.  There can also be a lot of fear around the unknown when it comes to death, dying, end of life care, funeral planning and so on.  I host these Death Cafes around my local community to give others a chance to discuss things that concern them, ask questions or simply chat with others or even just come along to listen and find out more.
