About this Death Cafe
Our death cafes are open to any and all who are interested in taking their exploration of end-of-life issues to the next level. We are pleased that in previous death cafes, attendees have expressed they felt comfortable and validated. Many topics around death and dying are broached, including visitations by those who have passed on and ghosts. We discuss the issue of green burials and if people would like this option. Our death cafe topics are intriguing, not macabre.
About Unity of the Sierra
Paula Schneider and Laurie Bauer are both RN's with a combined hospice experience of 15 years. They are both passionate about end-of-life comfort care and the spiritual nature of the dying process. They both live in the Carson City area.
