About this Death Cafe

Inspired by the wonderful Irish radio documentary Kicking the Bucket and the success of the Death Café in Limerick, I began to discuss the possibility of running a Café in Kildare. The Death Café model of allowing discussion to flow with little or no guidance will be adhered to. I will merely top and tail the event, and ensure that the tea/coffee keeps flowing and that all feel comfortable throughout.

About Sharon Murphy

Sharon Murphy is an Arts & Health specialist, vocalist and musical director living in Co. Kildare, Ireland. A large portion of her work is devoted to the health and wellbeing of older people in general and those living with dementia in particular. Her experiences of end-of-life journeys and death throughout her working and personal life have intensified her interest in creating opportunites for people to discuss death and its influence on our lives more openly and honestly, and in a relaxed setting.
