About this Death Cafe

Every now and then, I have been offering free meditation and other groups in the virtual world Second Life (a kind of chat world with avatars, activities and so on). A colleague told the owner of a "region" there of my "interest in Death" and Death Cafes. The lady grew interested immediately and addressed me about it. Shy to offer a Death Cafe, I started with a "Memory Meet", but apart from sharing stories people quickly started to talk about all things death. So I realized, gosh, we're already having half of a Death Cafe!

This is how I came to finally offer a Death Cafe on Second Life now. It is my first one, but we have a nice (virtual) place with (virtual) coffee and delicious (virtual) cookies. :D

You need to download the Second Life or Firestorm client in order to go inworld. The basic account is free and there is an introduction to moving inworld right on the first log-in.

Due to the wide range of online invitations, I have to ask you to send me a note about your wish to join. As long as there is space available, I will gladly give you a link to "teleport" directly into the Cafe then.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

My thanks go to Lissena Wisdomkeeper who provides the region for free and allowed me to build the cafe on it.

About Robert Klohe

Robert has been working as an alternative therapist, coach and artist for years. After his mother passed, he finally turned his focus on researching and working with topics of death.

During this, he found that death is a large topic in online surroundings as well and decided to address it right there.
