About this Death Cafe
Gerrie and I are both excited to be facilitating a Death Cafe! We think that it is important for people to be able to speak openly about death, dying, and grieving, and we both see that there is much stigma attached to these topics in today's world. We want to create a comfortable atmosphere where people can come together to discuss these important topics, and maybe develop some friendships along the way, while enjoying coffee and pastries in a beautiful setting.
About Chris Jansen and Gerrie Ordaz
Chris and Gerrie are both certified death midwives. We are trained in how to fulfill the emotional, spiritual, and practical needs of dying individuals and their loved ones. Chris is passionate about home funerals and educating others about different modalities for disposition of body, other than traditional burial.
