About this Death Cafe

Our desire to host a Death Cafe arises our of our own work as well as the desire to de-stigmatize talking about death in general conversation. The idea is as exciting as hearing about the CSA movement for the first time!

About Ann-Elizabeth Barnes

Host: Ann-Elizabeth Barnes has been helping families care for their loved ones at home at the time of death for many years. In 2007, she formalized her work with her colleague Jonitha Hasse under the name of “Sacred Undertaking, a Family Partnership”. They host workshops around the Northeast.

Facillitator: Pam Youngquist owns and operates Traditional Naturopathic Care, a holistic health care consultation practice.  She holds a PhD in traditional naturopathic health care and undergraduate degree in social work/ethno-psychology. She is a board certified herbalist and holistic health care practitioner, non-denominational minister, and Reiki Master.  Pam’s 25 years in the health and healing fields have established a solid skill base in teaching, counseling, writing and ceremony facilitation. She meets each individual, family and group that she supports with compassion, respect for their varied orientations, and insight for offering what is uniquely appropriate for them.
