About this Death Cafe
The purpose of our Death Cafe is to talk openly and freely about the many aspects related to death which include memorializing lost loved ones, afterlife, process of dying, Hospice and other pallative care questions and answers, and even cultural rituals involving preparing the dead.
About Maggie and Sharon
Maggie Boone Tribout is an adjunct professor at Soutwestern Illinois College in the psychology department and an online instructor for the University of Phoenix in the Social Sciences department.
Sharon is a retired nurse who worked with terminally ill patients and educated in pallative care. She is the owner of the Miscellanea House Cafe which is the venue for the Belleville, IL Death Cafe.
