About this Death Cafe
We have made a new theatre show "Am I Dead Yet?". It's about death and dying and about how we don’t talk about it enough. Which is actually a lot more fun than it sounds. The show is inspired by research into contemporary developments in resuscitation science and made in collaboration with Emergency Care doctors and professionals and is running during the Edinburgh Festival at the Traverse Theatre.
As part of the show we're going to be running Death Cafe's at each venue/place we tour to. We'd love for you to join us for tea, cake and chats about death.
In Edinburgh, we're hosting the event with our friends at Provenance Wines so we'll also be providing some excellent death themed wines for you to try.
The event is free but we hope you'll consider making a donation to the Resuscitaion Council (UK)
Our primary aim is to save lives by educating healthcare providers and the public in resuscitation. We do this by developing the guidelines for resuscitation for adults, children and the newborn, training courses and encouraging research into methods of resuscitation.
