About this Death Cafe

The event basically looks like this:

1. You turn up at the venue for 7pm

2. You have a coffee and a slice of cake if you want.

3. You get to meet the other people attending that evening.

4. You get to talk in a safe, cosy, relaxed environment about mortality, life, death... what ever floats your boat or interests you.

5. You leave... knowing you probably just made a few friends!!

About Lesley, Pat, Liz and Naomi

Lesley is facilitating this June meeting. Looking forward to it! Lesley has lived in the area for over 20 years and raised three daughters. She is currently studying at university and enjoys and full and varied life. A voracious reader and assimilator of ideas Lesley will bring a fresh angle to our meeting.

Liz is a retired social worker and has a LOT of experience in palliative care. She is involved in many community projects and we are lucky to have her valuable input with this event.

Pat is a local counsellor/psychotherapist/Qi Gong teacher. This will be her second event facilitating. Her calm and open manner encourages people to look at the subject matter deeply. An avid reader, Pat has summarised some interesting books on death and dying. She also opens up the venue and closes on time.
