About this Death Cafe
At our Death Cafe people gather to eat cake (or cookies), drink tea (or coffee), and discuss death. Our objective is "to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives." This is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes, no program, products, or proselytizing, a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session. We have encountered lots of laughter as we share our beliefs, fears, and experiences with death and dying. Plenty of free parking. This is a secular event and all are welcome!

Jim Mitulski is pastor of the Congregational Church of the Peninsula and has been a minister for the past 41 years. Jim Van Buskirk has been co-facilitating Death Cafes for over 10 years.
