About this Death Cafe
Mortality and Mozart: In what we believe is a world first, we are holding a Death Cafe directly connected to an evening of beautiful music inspired and composed because of death.
Mozart Requiem - Origins is being performed by The English Symphony Orchestra at St. John's Smith Square later in the evening, and while of course you are very welcome to come along just for the Death Cafe, for anyone who wants to spend a whole evening experiencing different aspects of death, tickets for the concert are on sale now.
For those who wish to attend the concert, there will also be a pre-concert talk by ESO Principal Conductor Kenneth Woods at 6.45, leading into the performance which starts at 7.30.
The Death Cafe itself will take place from 5.00 over tea and cakes in the Crypt Cafe beneath the concert hall. It will follow the usual unthemed, group led free discussion format and we hope will be a wonderful event for everyone who comes.
