About this Death Cafe
Welcome to an opportunity to meet with others, to eat cake and icecream, drink coffee and breathe life into a casual discussion about death within a safe space. This is the first Death Cafe to be held north of the harbour bridge in Auckland, Aotearoa. There is no agenda other than to talk about any topic related to death, and promises to be a thought provoking and compassionate experience. Thank you to Charlie's Gelato Garden for use of their gallery space.
About Karen Williamson
Karen is a palliative care nurse with 8 years experience working in a rural community hospice. She lives locally and has a passion for increasing death awareness and death literacy as a way of taking back community ownership of death, and making the most of our finite lives.
