About this Death Cafe
Co-hosts Monica and Ingrid like the pairing of celebratory cake & tea with intentional, open discussions of death. They also like focusing on topics relevant to those attending. After refreshments and introductions, 2 smaller circles will form for lively, facilitated conversations. All welcome.
About Ingrid Skoog & Monica Doyle
A counselor and communications coach, Ingrid Skoog is passionate about fostering greater meaning and connection in life. She sees discussions/preparations for death as a powerful way to enhance our limited time on planet Earth. Having been present at the deaths of many, Ingrid supports greater integration of these sacred transitions into our everyday consciousness & dialog.
As a midwife to many, Monica Doyle has witnessed birth firsthand. Her experience witnessing death, though, is what inspired her to host her first Death Cafe in Indianapolis in 2014. She is honored to co-facilitate Bloomington's first Death Cafe gathering and seeks to offer a sacred space for eating cake, drinking tea, and discussing death. All view points accepted.
