About this Death Cafe
Believe it or not, this will be fun. Yes, we will have fun talking about death! We'll have a formal introduction at the beginning, but most of this cafe will be spent in casual conversation with other people who are curious, afraid, or just plain old thoughtful about death and dying.
About Laura Servage
I am finishing a PhD in Educational Policy Studies at the University of Alberta, but I'm also interested in death! I am an experienced facilitator and educator. I am facing a number of serious illnesses in people I care about right now. It's made me think about how few opportunities we have to talk about death, which we all face, and we all fear.
