About this Death Cafe
The Caring Team at CVUU is hosting this as a VIRTUAL event using ZOOM. We have never in our lifetimes had to contend with such unprecedented changes to our lifestyle, and threats to our health and wellbeing. Never has there been such a need to talk about death and dying.
Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'.
A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.
CVUU Death Cafes are always offered:
Free of charge
In an accessible, respectful and confidential space
With no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action
About Coastal Virginia Unitarian Universalists Caring Team
Members of the Caring Team and Lay Pastoral Committee will be facilitating small groups. Our facilitators will be using the guidelines set forth in the Death Cafe forum and website.
