What brings you to Death Cafe?

Death is a natural, normal part of life and should be discussed as such. Ours is a death-denying society so talking about death or any end-of-life issue is often taboo.

Boomers like to have a voice. Now is the time to share your thoughts and feelings, People  often wait too long to let others know their wishes, hopes or fears. Once a critical event occurs in the life of a loved one or in one's own life, it's way too late to begin negotiating. Death Cafes are a safe place to begin to explore these existential issues.

So much to talk about, so little time!

Thoughts for sharing:

The time to fix your roof is when the sun is shining!

Boothbay's 2nd Death Cafe was a great success. Five new people attended. Discussions centered on green funerals and home burials.

Everyone enjoyed cupcakes ornamented with skull rings.

So much to talk about, so little time!
