About Rain Weaver :

Hi Friend!

My name is Rain and I am a human that is going to die. Seems like we already have something in common.

I am currently a student and instructor with Wilderness Awareness School in Duvall, Washington. Through this work and study, I learn intimately about the natural cycles of life and death by the most wise and greatest model there is; the forest.

The forest has been a powerful  gateway to learning about death, exploring growing curiosities, embracing the inevitability of change, and witnessing grace and acceptance for the Life-Death-Life process.

I am passionate about grief work, ceremony, ritual, myth, magic, nature, herbalism, music, singing, art, poetry, land stewardship, connection to food through gardening and food forests, regenerative agriculture, and the many beautiful intersections of these paths.

Thank you for reading! I look forward to holding spaces where these explorations are possible and gain many beautiful relations and connections in the process. To me, this is what life is about!

What brings you to Death Cafe?

I am not afraid to dance with shadows and make the taboo known. I find potent aliveness in times of transition and intense emotions both in myself and withnessing others in their own. I crave this depth!

I seek to explore in the realm of things that rock us to our core; the things that remind us of what is the most important. I believe to live presently and openly with death as a friend is to live a fuller, more meaningful, more fulfilling life.

Confronting our mortality is meant to be a lifetime's work- not something we save until the very end.

I am excited to make deep connections with local community members from an array of backgrounds, uniting in conversation over our shared reality.
