About Death Over Dessert:

Hi! I'm Ashley Boydston, an End-of-Life/Death Doula, Death Educator & Home Deathcare Guide. I serve clients through the KC Metro area on the KS-side. My practice's name, "The Next Effort" comes from a saying our late father used to tell us: "The next effort's the most important." I find this to be completely applicable to life, but especially in how our community supports death. I look forward to meeting you & joining you in this safe space to continue this conversation further.

What brings you to Death Cafe?

Community Support.

Education.

Communication.

How can we support one another in this inevitable part of life if we don't lean on one another, learn about it or talk about it?

What would you like your legacy to be?

I would love to be a part of my community's, & eventually the country's. effort to change the dialogue, preparation & education around death so we can more fully live life & enjoy one another.

Thoughts for sharing:

"The next effort's the most important."

"Life & Death are the bookends of our journey here on earth. How is it that we can overly prepare for one & attempt to avoid even talking about, let alone preparing for, the other.
