About Judy Keiser:

Judy Keiser and Louise Malusis are members of the Legacy Group at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Boca Raton. Each of us has thought about our legacies and beliieve in working on them while we're alive.

What brings you to Death Cafe?

After Judy gave a Legacy letters workshop at a UU conference, she was invited to attend a Death Cafe on Zoom, and loved it immediately. She has been wanting to start one at the UUFBR ever since. Louise's experience with a DEath Cafe at that same conference was so positive she was happy to partner with Judy to bring Death Cafe to UUFBR.

What would you like your legacy to be?

Judy wants the manner of her death to be consistent with her purpose in her life. She wants the effect of her death to resolve quickly from temporary grief to  lasting sweetness and inspiring memories.

Thoughts for sharing:

Thinking about death is an example of upstream thinking, which goes beyond reacting to what's happening today. It seeks to understand how our actions today can affect and improve what happens tomorrow.
